Texas Arctic Blast

Praying for those greatly affected by the Texas Winter Storm. We lost our electricity, internet, cellphone signal, and water since Monday morning. Thank goodness my husband was able to get the fireplace working. We finally got our running water back Tuesday afternoon. Filled our tubs with water right away! Our power came on yesterday and lost it again around 5:45pm. Back on again and hoping it stays on. Kids had so much fun playing in the snow. We do not get a lot of snow here in Houston. We don’t get snow at all! Well, we got a lot of it this time and the state of Texas was not prepared for it. We still have blackouts everywhere and things are not back to normal. We have 1 more night to go. Hoping and praying we have a good night sleep tonight.

My kids though are having so much fun. No school and homework! They are loving it. It was their very first time seeing so much snow. They enjoyed it a lot but we weren’t prepared for the cold. We don’t have any snow gear so we just doubled up and stayed warm as much as we can. I even don’t have my own mittens!!! Wearing my son’s mittens! Gotta buy some now. lol!
